LangSoft s.r.o. 

The company LangSoft s.r.o. is the producer of the programs PC Translator and Language Teacher, online dictionaries and other language products. The development of the first PC Translator was started in 1988. At that time, still under the SOFTEX Software company header, the first version of the program for DOS was created. Now, the program PC Translator has become a standard among dictionaries or translation programs, and has more than 30,000 registered users. Our biggest customers include governmental bodies, most state departments, the army, banks, industrial companies, universities, etc.



In 1997 we established the company LangSoft s.r.o. We co-operate with more than 30 permanent co-operators (7 of them native speakers), and with more than 200 SW dealers across the entire Czech Republic and Slovakia. All of our programs in the Slovak version have been sold since 1992 in Slovakia by an independent development and selling company TEOS Trencín. Our company regularly participates in the international fair of information and communication technologies INVEX in Brno. PC Translator has already ranked twice in the foremost positions in the competition of the most interesting exhibit (Diamond eye).

Dictionary databases of the program PC Translator are also utilized in mobile phones Telefónica O2 (Eurotel) and Vodafone, or in pocket PDA computers.

Another of our important products is the educational program Language Teacher, which has been developed from the very beginning together with the PC Translator program. Through the development, a program with a perfectly sophisticated education mechanism was created.
